Personal Response: What I Decided to Write About
I have decided to write about HONY for the second assignment. The reason I chose HONY is that I feel like I can connect better with the content in it. Also, I like reading the stories of people and their lives.

I have to agree with you that the stories in HONY are interesting. They certainly caught my attention right away. There are many routes you can go with this. One way is to group these stories into different locations (since Stanton seems to have expanded to out of country areas) and explain the significance of that. Another way you can go is to explore the relationship between the photographs and their stories (i.e. why might Stanton choose to add text, would his photos have a different interpretation if there are no words attached to them, do the stories reflect the subject's appearances?). Good luck finding an aspect of HONY to further explore!
